Ezekiel Taylor Board Member Runs Chicago Half Marathon

Ezekiel Taylor Scholarship Foundation Board Member and One-lunged Marathoner, Jacob Qualls, will run the 2025 Chicago Half Marathon. Funds raised will go towards scholarships for the Ezekiel Taylor Scholarship Foundation.

The Morehouse College graduate knows a thing or two about defying the odds. Jacob Qualls is a survivor who lost one of his lungs as a teenager. Despite his challenges, he’s training to run the 2025 Chicago Half Marathon on Sunday, June 1, 2025 in support of the Ezekiel Taylor Scholarship Foundation.

Funds raised for the 501 c3 organization will provide scholarships and career programming for college-bound young Black men from Chicago, Illinois who have been impacted by gun violence.
